'It is Christmas in the heart, that puts Christmas in the air' | Huntsville, AL

Greetings from Alabama! ...where there hasn't been a snowfall yet (that the snow has stuck at least), and I can go outside without my heavy winter jacket... Needless to say, I've been spoiled! Alex and I are heading back to Ohio today, but I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays :) Safe travels to all!

We went with an artificial tree this year, but I still think it's beautiful!!

Alex and I picked out our favorite ornaments. The rocket is a newbie! It's supposed to represent Huntsville, nicknamed as "The Rocket City" :)

It wouldn't be Christmas without holiday baking! These turned out yummy.

From miles away | the bahamas

Every once in a while you're in the right place at the right time, and luck goes your way.. this happened to be one of those times. Over the summer I won a cruise for 2 to the Bahamas during the first part of December. Fun fact, it turned out to be the same destination where my sister got married almost 2 years ago - Nassau, Bahamas. At the time it seemed too good to be true, and light years away. Well it came and it went just like that. I spent the past few days away at sea.. and took for granted the sunny blue skies and warm winter breeze. I was not ready to come back to 30 degrees (but glad I'm not in Ohio for the snow!!). I couldn't help but share a few pictures from the trip! And if you're in the cold weather.. close your eyes.. and simply imagine..

NICK & KATIE l dayton, ohio

Meet Nick and Katie. College sweethearts :) We all met in college at UD (Nick was actually my boyfriend's roommate!) I was so happy when they asked me to photograph their wedding. Nick and Katie are down-to-earth, humble, and charismatic. They welcomed me into their first home (which is so lovely and beautifully decorated!!), and then we ventured around Dayton. It was a surprisingly warm fall day when we went out, and the sun was shining bright. Here are some of my favorites from the afternoon!

'And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.'

Today is my 24th birthday! And to be honest, I can't believe it... and I'll probably say that come my 25th :) ... BUT this year has been extra special. Lots of new changes and new ventures, and I can't help but embrace them. With my move to Huntsville, AL recently, I just now feel like I'm getting my feet in the water. I got to come home this past week, though, for a short trip, and went through some old family photos.. how much do I want to go back to that 1st birthday at McD's with all my neighborhood friends?? The only way a birthday should be celebrated! I just want to say thank you for all the birthday wishes, and I love every single one of my friends and family. You all are the best. Thank you for all of your support :) I look forward to what this next year has to come!

ERICA & RYAN l cincinnati, ohio

Erica and Ryan are high school sweethearts :) We all knew each other in high school, so when they asked me to photograph them I was more than excited! It had been so long since we've seen one another! They're HUGE sports fans (as you'll see!) and love the fall. The weather and leaves could not be more perfect. I can't wait for your wedding next November! Thank you both again!
