Meet my cousin and his beautiful family! Julie and Anthony had their first baby girl back in June. Ava Grace is her name, and she was just a tiny little thing when I first met her and oh-so sweet. They gave me warning that Woody, their dog, loves to guard Ava and that she's the first one he checks on when he enters a room. They weren't kidding! He didn't leave her side -- and the entire time he kept an eye on me! Thank you Julie and Anthony for welcoming me into your home. It was such a pleasure to sit in on this special time! Below are some of my favorites :)

AVERY, 3 months | huntsville, al photographer

She's back, by popular demand! That's right, my niece. At one point she was all over this blog. She was welcomed into this world with a post, she won you over with her many adorable faces, you sat in on her first meeting with her "brother" Charlie and you got a glimpse of her first week of life! I adore this little girl! She has added so much light to our family. I can't believe she'll be 5 months this week!!! Below are a few of my favorites from when I visited her at 3 months.. I snuck in the random Avery's 1st day at the beach! I couldn't get over how cute her ladybug bathing suit was!! Be sure to play the video at the end.. good ole peek-a-boo with Auntie! :)

DARCEY, 8 months | huntsville, al photographer

I first met this little one when I photographed her and her family back in June. That first year goes by so fast, so her mom and I decided to have another session dedicated to her :) Her personality came alive! She had this face.. which I can't explain.. but it's too cute and she busted it out throughout our session. You'll just have to scroll down and see for yourself! Thank you, Tyra, for another opportunity to photograph your darling family! Below are a few of my favorites!

Atlanta Comedy Tour's Charity Comedy Event | huntsville, al photographer

Last Friday and Saturday, Atlanta comedians Tushar Singh, Mike Albanese, Rob Haze and Krishna Prasad came out to the Flying Monkey Arts Center at Lowe Mill and put on a hilarious show for Huntsville. All proceeds from the event went to the Aarav K. Singh Neonatal Memorial Fund at Huntsville Hospital Foundation. It was in memory of Aarav Kumar Singh, son of Hemant and Preeti Singh. Aarav was born as a micro-preemie in Huntsville, Alabama on October 25, 2009. He was in the NICU for three and a half weeks before passing away on November 19, 2009. The family is very appreciative of the neonatal nurses and doctors at Huntsville Hospital.




Hemant and Preeti wanted a way to keep their son's memory alive and raise awareness about the neonatal community. Most importantly they want to give back to the NICU - including the nurses and doctors who take care of these precious babies and the parents who experience life in the NICU. Nilima, Shamik, Ahren and Sahen | huntsville, al photographer

This set just makes me smile! We headed to downtown Huntsville for this session. I've been in Huntsville almost a year now (year in October!) and I believe this was my first time ever photographing a session downtown... loved every minute.. and I always look forward to when people suggest it! The entire area has such character. To me, it's quaint and simple. I remember it being an especially hot day.. so to cool off (and to be rewarded) we stopped by Sam & Greg's for some treats!
