My initial work with black and white was based around projects of exploration and portraiture.
When asked to explore and revisit a space, I spent time investigating the chapel on campus. Rather than focusing on the obvious characteristics of the church, I instead gave attention to its peculiarities. With illumination from the flash, objects took on a quirky nature.
Patience required with the 4x5 view camera
